Sommerakademie Herrenhausen – Herrenhausen Summer Academy
The series of lectures “Herrenhausen Summer Academy” was called into being by the friends’ association, Freunde der Herrenhäuser Gärten e.V., and the CGL and aims to bring topics of garden culture and garden history to the attention of the interested general public in the region of Hannover. The CGL is particularly interested in making the results of its own scientific work accessible not just to specialists but also to the general public.
Since 2010 the Herrenhausen Summer Academy has been organised in an extended form with two new cooperation partners, the Wilhelm-Busch-Gesellschaft e.V. and the Herrenhausen gardens of Hannover, the capital of Lower Saxony, and now takes place in the Wilhelm Busch Museum – German Museum for Caricature and Critical Graphic Art. The lectures are open to the public and free, the programme can be found in an annual flyer (see below).
