Herrenhausen Research Fellowship

The Herrenhausen Research Fellowship is a three-month fellowship for a research stay in Hanover at the Centre for Garden Art and Landscape Architecture (CGL) at Leibniz University Hanover.

It is aimed at academics with a doctorate in the field of international history of garden culture and art in an interdisciplinary context who completed their doctorate no more than seven years ago.

The Friends of the Herrenhausen Gardens granted the first “Herrenhausen-Research-Fellowship” in 2014. It is under the patronage of the Friends’ Board of Trustees and the realisation of the fellowship programme is supervised academically by the Centre of Garden Art and Landscape Architecture (CGL) of the Leibniz University of Hannover.

It is under the patronage of the Kuratorium der Freunde der Herrenhäuser Gärten e.V. and the Fellowship Programme is carried out under the scientific direction of the Centre for Garden Art and Landscape Architecture (CGL) at Leibniz Universität Hannover.
