Herrenhausen Summer Academy 2018
The Herrenhausen Summer Academy starts 2018 on June 21 with the lecture "Die königliche Schlossterrasse und weitere Gartenanlagen am Berliner Schloss" by Dr. Klaus-Henning von Krosigk. Until August 30 you can experience as usual 10 presentations on garden art and culture by experts.
Among them are this year contributions on Schloss Arenenberg and the island of Reichenau as well as on the island of Mainau, the Hinübersche garden and den gardens of Schloss Trauttmansdorff. Also Gin from Hannover and the European Capital of Culture 2025 are being discussed and the question will be raised why snails can be useful for mental health.
The lectures take place on Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Wilhelm Busch – Deutsches Museum für Karikatur & Zeichenkunst (no lecture on August 16). After each talk you will have the opportunity to continue the discussion in the museum's garden with Bratwurst and beer.
