Herrenhausen Summer Academy 2015
On June 25 starts the Herrenhausen Summer Academy 2015 and is being held – as in previous years – every Thursday at 6 pm in the Wilhelm Busch Museum – German Museum for Caricature and Critical Graphic Art.
Until August 27, experts from various disciplines will talk about themanifold aspects of the history of garden culture. Topics are, for example, the garden book worlds of the Irish writer Sheila Pim, the travel diary of the Hanoverian court gardener Heinrich Ludolph Wendland, the "Green areas in the Hannover region" or the garden
references of operas to birth- and name days at the Imperial court of Vienna.
After the lectures the evening can be concluded in the museum’s garden with a discussion of the talk while enjoying the legendary grilled sausages with potato salad and a beer.
The complete programme can be found below.
Admission to all events is free.
